Thank you to the many generous organizations that have supported hidden acres in 2020!

  • Even though we weren't able to host our Chicken BBQ this year, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc. still generously supported the camp through a $2500 grant.

  • The following Kitchener Waterloo Community Foundation funds have supported our camper subsidy and our Single Moms Camp Programs through grants:

    • The Waterloo Region Record - Lyle S. Hallman Foundation Kids to Camp Fund for the amount of $2000 to our camper subsidy program.
    • Ann Frank Fund for the amount of $1500 to our camper subsidy program.
    • Sisters of Notre Dame Legacy Fund for the amount of $12,600 to our Single Moms Camp Program.

Even though overnight camps have been cancelled, they have generously allowed the camp to use the funds where most needed.

Single Moms Camp-in-a-bag

The summer of 2020 was definitely a unique one! We were unable to run our overnight camps and decided to offer our facilities as a campground for families to come and camp. This meant that hundreds of children and single moms would not be able to experience camp at Hidden Acres this summer! So, we decided to send camp to them with our CAMP-IN-A-BAG initiative! It was a great success with lots of very positive feedback.

There was also some really great community support for the bags that were delivered to our single mom campers and their children. Thank you to following businesses for helping us share camp with them:
